Although produced in 2004, this documentary is relevant today due to the recent renewal of provisions of the Patriot Act. Filmmaker Nonny de la Peña, with help from the ACLU and Robert Greenwald demonstrates with clarity how our Constitution is violated by this ill-named act. You don't have to be a constitutional lawyer or scholar to get it: required viewing!

Fortunately the SLA made a ton of audio recordings which are the backbone of this fascinating even-handed documentary about the abduction of Patricia Hearst. The only way it could be better is if the subject submitted to an interview.  Thoughtful treatment of a significant event at a major turning point in our history.
