Beautifully photographed ghost story set in 1950s Portugal. Lots of long takes that linger well after the actors have left the frame. Gorgeous, artistic trip back in time to a faraway place.

Official Site: http://warp.net/films/submarine Smart move for the franchise. Michael Fassbender is a bad ass mofo, and McAvoy is great at placing two fingers to his temple and making me believe that he's reading somebody's mind. Lots of action and effects, the plot zooms along and constantly pounds out the theme of acceptance. Heavy use of the Cold War. Contains obligatory stripper character and lingerie clad hostess scenes.

Cinematic, moving.
