More nastiness from director Nicolas Winding Refn. It's painful to watch Ryan Gosling sleepwalk through this horrible mess. High camp: pure crap. No no no.
Great boxing film noir staring John Garfield. Innovative fight photography. Must see!
Great poster, mediocre movie. The mixed martial arts fight scenes are good. Love Nick Nolte, but the family turmoil feels manufactured, and I didn't fall in love with any of the characters.
HBO Boxing: great fight!
http://www.hbo.com/boxing/index.html Sammo Hung got his meaty hands into this one and gives Donnie Yen a worthy opponent / partner in the continuing Chinese struggle for respect: this time it's against the "foreign devils" British occupiers and their western boxing style. Not as satisfying as the first Ip Man, but worth a viewing for the many thrilling fight scenes. Ip Man 2 contains more boxing than The Fighter!

There's only one brief fight in the first hour! Yes, the boxing is HBO quality, and the performances are great, but not enough boxing!
